Yucatan Art Biennale *
Mérida, Yucatán
November 2026 – February 2027
A collector-focused journey through one of the most compelling cultural movements emerging in the Americas.
Why Yucatán
Few places in the world contain as many layers of history simultaneously.
Ancient Maya civilizations, colonial architecture, contemporary artistic practice, ecological preservation, and new cultural investment coexist here in ways that feel increasingly rare.
The inaugural edition of the Yucatán Biennale serves as a lens through which to understand these intersecting worlds.
For those willing to linger, Yucatán rewards curiosity.
This winter, the Yucatán Biennale transforms the peninsula into an unexpected stage for contemporary art.
Many guests will combine Mexico City Art Week after a first chapter in Yucatán haciendas, cenotes, Maya communities, and exhibitions spread across one of Mexico's most beautiful regions.
This is one of my favorite ways to experience the season: starting beneath the ceiba trees and pink skies of Yucatán, continuing on to Guadalajara, and ending with the energy and joyful chaos of Mexico City.
