Our work begins with understanding who you are — your interests, your pace, what you collect, what moves you — and builds outward from there. Every introduction, every reservation, every moment of the program reflects a relationship we have cultivated over decades, not a catalogue we consult. The result is a journey that could not have been designed for anyone else.

Not at all. Art serves as a lens through which to understand Mexico and Italy — their histories, their people, their creative energy — rather than as the sole focus. Many of our most meaningful journeys have been designed for travelers who simply wanted to experience a place through culture rather than monuments.

In Mexico: Mexico City, San Miguel de Allende, the Yucatán Peninsula, Oaxaca, Baja California and Guadalajara. In Italy: Milan and the Lakes, Venice, Liguria, and Piedmont. We also design specialized programming around key cultural moments including Venice Biennale, Milan Design Week, Mexico City Art Week, and Guadalajara Art Week.

Yes. Cristina is based in Milan and brings the same depth of local knowledge and long-standing relationships to Italy that she brings to Mexico. Italy programming is available year-round, with particular expertise around Venice Biennale and Milan Design Week.

The Morenita Salon is our small-group hosted departure, inspired by the European tradition of salons and the Mexican tradition of long dinners, hospitality, and conversation. Each Salon is built around a specific cultural moment — an art fair, a biennale, a design week — and brings together a carefully chosen group of collectors, architects, designers, museum patrons, and culturally curious travelers. Part journey, part traveling dinner table. Each edition is intentionally intimate and limited in size.

A private engagement is designed exclusively for you — your party, your interests, your schedule, your pace. A Salon is a small hosted group departure centered around a specific cultural event. Both formats offer the same depth of curation and on-the-ground care. Many clients begin with a Salon and return for a private journey.

Very much so. Many of our clients travel as multigenerational families. Our experiences are designed to resonate equally with parents and younger travelers who share an interest in culture, design, and place.

Absolutely. Our programs are modular by design. Some clients travel only for Mexico City Art Week; others combine Yucatán and Guadalajara, or extend onward to Oaxaca or San Miguel de Allende. Private engagements are shaped entirely around your schedule and interests.

Cristina only personally hosts Morenita Salon departures. For private engagements, the level of personal presence varies and is discussed during the planning process. In all cases, a member of the Morenita team remains closely available throughout the journey.

Yes. We welcome early engagement with travel advisors, family offices, or personal assistants to ensure seamless coordination. We ask only that we are brought in at the outset so that the program can be designed cohesively from the beginning.
About Practical Matters

We recommend reaching out as early as possible, particularly 6-8 months out for travel around Art Weeks, Biennales and Design Weeks. Peak periods fill quickly and resources are limited. For engagements beginning within 45 days of arrival, full payment is required upon confirmation.

Every engagement begins with a private advisory retainer, which covers the design, curation, coordination, and stewardship of your journey from concept through execution. Retainer fees are based on party size and destination. In addition, each journey is designed within a minimum investment that preserves the level of quality for which we are known. Flights, accommodations, gratuities, and personal expenses are not included. Full details are shared during your discovery call.

Yes. Due to the pre-arranged nature of our services, cancellations are non-refundable. We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance before confirming your engagement.

We oversee everything from concept through execution: program design and curation, hotel reservations, airport and ground transportation, fair passes and tickets, private guides, artist studio and gallery visits, restaurant reservations, exclusive cultural experiences, and concierge support before and throughout your journey. On-the-ground stewardship is a core part of every engagement — we remain closely informed of your movements throughout your stay.

Our preferred properties tend to be independent boutique hotels and design-forward residences chosen for atmosphere, location, and quality of service rather than scale. To ensure continuity and accountability throughout your journey, all accommodations are arranged directly through Morenita.

With over two decades of experience throughout Mexico, we place considerable emphasis on logistics, timing, transportation, and local knowledge. Our clients move through the country with ease and confidence because every element of the journey has been thought through in advance. On-the-ground stewardship is central to everything we do. We maintain direct communication with all operators and remain closely informed of your movements throughout your stay. Should anything require adjustment, we respond immediately. Our local knowledge and relationships exist precisely for moments when they are needed most.

Discretion is a core value of Morenita. Client information is never shared, and we do not discuss the details of any engagement publicly. The trust of our clients is the foundation of everything we do.
