About Morenita

  • A traditional travel agency books logistics. We provide the logistical expertise, and also design every detail of the experiences. We never outsource, we never replicate.

  • Morenita was founded in Mexico City in 2017. Years later, Cristina married an Italian architect and relocated to Milan. Today, she travels frequently between both.

  • Not at all. Art serves as a lens through which to understand Mexico and Italy, rather than as the sole focus.

  • In Mexico: Mexico City, San Miguel de Allende, the Yucatán Peninsula, Oaxaca, Baja California and Guadalajara. In Italy: Milan and the Lakes, Venice, Liguria, and Piedmont. We also design specialized programming around the Venice Biennale, Milan Design Week, Mexico City Art Week, and Guadalajara Art Week.

  • The Morenita Salon is our small-group program inspired by the European tradition of salons and the Mexican tradition of long meals. Each Salon is built around a specific art fair, a biennale, a design week — and brings together a carefully chosen group of ten to twelve people.

  • A private program is designed exclusively for you. A Salon is a small group departure centered around a cultural event. Both formats offer the same depth of curation and on-the-ground care.

  • Very much so. Many of our clients travel as multigenerational families.

  • Absolutely. Some clients travel only for Mexico City Art Week; others combine Yucatán and Guadalajara, or extend onward to Oaxaca or San Miguel de Allende.

  • Cristina only personally hosts Salon departures. For private engagements, the level of her personal presence varies and is discussed during the planning process. In all cases, a member of the Morenita team remains closely available throughout the journey.

  • Yes. We welcome early engagement with travel advisors, family offices, or personal assistants to ensure seamless coordination.

About Practical Matters

  • Complete our New Client Engagement Form. We will review your interests, travel style, and goals before scheduling a discovery call.

  • We begin with a retainer which covers the design and stewardship of your journey. Retainer fees are based on party size and destination. In addition, each journey requires a minimum investment. Flights, accommodations, gratuities, and personal expenses are not included.

  • As early as possible, particularly 6-8 months out around December Holidays, Salons and key cultural events. For engagements beginning within 45 days of arrival, full payment is required upon confirmation.
