Cristina Lugo grew up in Puerto Vallarta watching her Mexican chef mother and American sales consultant father throw fabulous dinner parties. Even from a young age she was drawn to the joys that came from hosting and entertaining guests.
After studying politics in the US & UK, Cristina spent the next decade traveling and working in hotels and restaurants. Upon returning to México, she was recruited by Pujol to be the fine dining superstar’s Sales Director.
Her bicultural childhood and industry credentials reinforced Cristina’s desire to build a unique travel company that celebrated Mexico’s cultural excellence. Entrepreneur Magazine recognizes Cristina as one of Mexico’s “Business Personalities”. National Geographic Travel refers to her as “Mexico’s true travel expert.”
Aside from her role as Morenita’s CEO, Cristina is also a full time advisor at Cristina Lugo Art, a Mexico City-based art advisory with early access to standout galleries, artist studios and art fairs, specializing in beautiful works that serve as compelling investments.
